Concealed Carry Environments Urban Carry

The modern day concealed carry has many choices for accessories when it comes to their perfect everyday carry set up.  From your traditional leather and kydex holsters to products like our Clipdraw, there seems to be an endless list of options. Choosing the right accessory is very important when deciding to carry a defense pistol with you on a daily basis.  Every concealed carry has different needs and wants when it comes to carrying their pistol.  What works for an urban carry may not be well suited for a farmer or rural carry, just like an undercover detective will have different requirements than a licensed citizen or military member.  Thankfully the Clipdraw meets the needs of concealed carriers across all platforms.

Summertime Concealed Carry

The dog days of summer are here.  Temperatures have soared consistently into the 90s and 100s across the United States.  With this heat comes more time at the beach or pool and people generally wearing less and lighter clothing than they would throughout the year.  This causes a huge issue for those of use concealed carrying our firearms on a daily basis. Want to wear your favorite holster with gym shorts and a t-shirt?  Think again.  Too much weight and bulk from the holster will weigh your shorts down and the lighter t-shirts will cause issues with printing of the firearm through your shirt.  A traditional holster with this outfit is asking for trouble.  Fortunately, our Clipdraw concealed carry clips can help you completely solve these issues while you comfortably and securely conceal carry your favorite firearm throughout the summer months.

Our American Made concealed carry clips add next to no weight to your weapon and zero girth to the actual carry position.

First – at less than a quarter of an ounce, our clips add no weight to your firearm.  Our customers all over the country, but particularly in year round warm climates like Florida, Texas, Arizona, etc, utilize the Clipdraw as part of their everyday carry.  The Clipdraw provides secure concealment whether wearing khaki or cargo shorts and a thick belt or a lightweight pair of gym shorts without a belt.  While you may not be able to carry your full size model 1911 in gym shorts, the small “pocket pistols” on the market today, in combination with the Clipdraw, can be easily and comfortably carried in gym shorts.  With the Clipdraw attached, simply slide the firearm inside your waistband while putting the clip over the edge (on the outside) of your waistband.  Tighten the draw string of your shorts to a comfortable and secure tightness and that’s it! You’re ready to conceal your pocket pistol with Clipdraw in your gym shorts.  Literally next to no weight has been added to your concealed carry set up.

Second – since the clip itself lays on the outside of your waistband you are adding zero girth to the inside the waistband portion of your carry.  Nothing goes inside your waistband except your actual pistol.  Without any extra bulk, you’ll find the slim profile allows you to conceal in clothes you never imagined before.  Shorts and an untucked t-shirt will allow you comfortably and discreetly conceal your firearm in the warm weather of summer.

NRA America’s 1^st Freedom – Clipdraw Product Review

The First Gear team at NRA’s publication: America’s 1^st Freedom reviewed the Clipdraw concealed carry system in their February product review. First Gear tests a wide variety of firearms, ammo, accessories, etc and gives their honest opinions on all the gear they review. In the past few months they’ve reviewed pistols, rifles, scopes, sights, knives, eye wear, tactical gear and new ammunition technologies. First Gear is widely respected in the industry especially with the powerful NRA name behind them!

 

In the February 28^th edition of First Gear, Author Frank Winn put our Clipdraws through the paces – highlighting our Glock and 1911 models for this particular review. While we obviously hope for positive reviews from those such as First Gear, their opinions are completely their own. We do not interact in anyway with the reviewer. Fortunately for Clipdraw, Frank clearly sees and identifies the reasons to carry with our system, he writes: “(The Clipdraw) added no effective width whatever to either pistol type. As any gentleman or lady who carries at the waist can tell you, this is the biggest barrier to carrying at all times: The inability to fit IWB (inside thewaistband) in your existing selection of trousers, pants or skirt due to the extra circumference a conventional holster invariably adds. Most folks simply won’t re-acquire a substantial percentage of their wardrobe to make this happen, and couldn’t if they wanted to: How precisely do you match the trousers that go with that perfectly good two-year-old suit? A relatively major “oh-oh,” at least.”

NRA Annual Meetings 2016

 

It’s that time of the year again. The National Rifle Association will be hosting their annual meetings in Louisville, Kentucky from May 20^th through May 22^nd. Firearms displays and new cutting edge products will be available from the industry’s leading brands. Clipdraw will be exhibiting at booth #6248.
